Biologically compatible

Biologically compatible – is that even possible?

To put it bluntly, there is no optimally biologically compatible material, but only the most tolerable for the patient at the moment. Man is a so-called open system. That the human organism responds to changes in its environment and environment. A material that was problem-free in the mouth for 10 years can be altered by changes – e.g. due to the now necessary taking of medication – suddenly no longer “fit”. The body reacts with an intolerance reaction.

In any case, it makes more sense to test a material than to use any material.

Tipp: Ask your dentist for the name of the alloy or material when working in your mouth. You will also find this information on the invoice of the dental laboratory on the so-called »declaration of conformity«.
Compatible material?

How to achieve a compatible material?

The ideal form of restoration with dentures or prostheses is given if the material used individually for the corresponding patient and if there are as few different metal alloys in the mouth of a person.

Testen!

The material should always be tested!

For this purpose, there are laboratory and physical methods to determine a material compatibility for each individual.

Modern environmental medical procedures allow with high accuracy already in the run-up to a supply a statement about the possible sensitization to certain materials. Thus, prior to a definitive supply, the use of material that is incompatible from the outset can be ruled out and consequential damage and, above all, follow-up costs can be avoided.

With each upcoming new supply one should be aware of whether and what in the next few years could possibly be due to dentures. As a result, you can already select a material at the current supply date that meets the requirements currently required, but that can also be used in future work. Especially if this work may be more extensive than the current supply. This is how you reach the “general store” in the mouth disappears.

There are alloys (metal compounds for the production of dentures), which meet all requirements. These usually consist of about 98% precious metals. They should contain as few as possible “impure” metals, because experience shows that they increase the incompatibility for an alloy. If it is not possible to find compatible metal alloys for a human, it is necessary to resort to metal-free materials.

Metal-free work

Increasingly, there are people who are incompatible with metals that have even developed an allergy to metals. For these people, it’s nice to hear that there are metal-free materials that barely leave anything to be desired.

From these materials work is possible, which is declared impossible in many places. They consist of a ceramic and a special plastic. This plastic just does not consist of the usual 2-component compounds, which in turn can trigger allergies and intolerances. Even stapled dentures are possible with these materials.

Individuell getestetes Material

Despite the euphoria about high-precious metal-containing or even metal-free materials, an individual compatibility test of the material to be used is always urgently recommended. However, it should always be thought of the materials that are to be used for attaching crowns, inlays or bridges. To be on the safe side, these materials are always tested at the same time.

I urgently recommend these compatibility tests in the event of a supply of implants in advance to perform. Here, it is particularly important to think of the possibly necessary bone replacement materials and also to examine them.

Methods for this are, for example, laboratory medical procedures with the help of blood tests.

Alternatively, the material may also be determined via alternative physical measurement techniques or bioenergetic and biofunctional testing procedures (e.g., Dr. Nogier’s pulse reflex test). These tests are based either on purely physical principles of quantum physics or work on the neuro-muscular principle. Both tests are absolutely painless.

However, I would like to point out expressly that these latter test methods are methods of naturopathic empirical medicine, which are not among the generally accepted methods in the sense of a recognition by conventional medicine. All statements made about the properties and effects as well as indication of the presented procedures are based on the findings and empirical values in the therapeutic direction itself, which are not shared by the prevailing conventional medicine.
